Michael Symon Restaurants is continuing to monitor developments regarding coronavirus (COVID-19). As always, the health and safety of our guests, employees and their families remain our top priorities. Observing strict public health rules and ServSafe guidelines is a core function of our daily operations.
In an abundance of care for everyone who patronizes our restaurants and our employees, we are also following heightened Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention recommendations and those of Governor Mike DeWine. We have implemented enhanced environmental cleaning throughout our properties, including:
Additional, repeat sanitization of all frequently touched countertops, handrails, doorknobs, and elevator buttons, throughout the day.
Continued use of cleaning agents with appropriate disinfecting quantities at every touch point. (All cleaning agents are used according to directions provided by the manufacturer).
We’re adding hand sanitizer stations throughout the restaurants and host stands, for guests and employees alike.
The CDC notes: “For the majority of people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low. There is not widespread circulation in most communities in the United States.”
We remain open and are committed to continuing to provide great hospitality. We encourage everyone to follow these simple steps – at home and in the community – to help prevent the spread of the common cold, flu, and coronavirus.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol-based sanitizer when you are unable to wash.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stay home if you are sick.
Avoid contact with sick people.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (discarded in the trash after use), or sleeve, when coughing or sneezing.
We will remain vigilant, and are prepared to make decisions based on current needs, as well as in response to changing conditions. We will continue to base our decisions on expert sources, including the CDC and our state and local public health authorities.
